Passport Application Procedures & Fees

New Passport Applications

1. Complete and fax a passport application form which you can obtain from the embassy,
   or download here: Passport Application/Renewal Form (PDF)
   
   

   All online forms and documents are in Portable Document Format (PDF), which require Adobe Acrobat Reader for viewing and printing. Details and FREE download of this software program may be found at Adobe.com




2. Contact the embassy by e-mail or telephone two weeks after sending your passport application to inquire if your passport request has been approved.



3. Upon approval from the embassy, schedule an appointment and bring the following documents and fees:
   
   
   • 3 recent 3x4 cms photos.
   • Paraguay's I.D. (Cédula de Identidad) or expired passport.
   • $45.00 US ($30.00 US + $15.00 US admin.fee)

Passport Renewals

1. Complete and fax a passport application form which you can obtain from the embassy,
   or download here: Passport Application/Renewal Form (PDF)



2. Contact the embassy by e-mail or telephone two weeks after sending your passport application to inquire if your passport request has been approved.



3. Upon approval from the embassy, you must submit the following documents via courier. Please do not send your documents by regular mail. Remember to keep the tracking number of your envelopes.
   
   
   • 2 recent 3x4 cms photos.
   • Paraguay's I.D. (Cédula de Identidad) or expired passport.
   • $30.00 US ($15.00 US + $15.00 US admin.fee)
